A little demonstration video to show home brewing newbies how to get started with a Mr. Beer kit, and some other options to help them step it up a notch using glass bottles, and an alternate priming method for more consistent carbonation. Far from perfect, but I think it’s a good starter and a nice illustration for those who are just getting into home brewing and want to try out a Mr. Beer kit first.

Shot 10.10.09 at Surly Brewing Company (Brooklyn Center, MN). The American Homebrewers Association and Surly hosted a membership rally at the brewery. About 400 homebrewers showed up - most with empty keg, carboy or bucket in hand for the huge wort giveaway. Surly brewed two 30-barrel batches (1800 gallons!) of high-gravity wort… an Imperial Brown with OG 1.081. This is an obvious set up question from a YouTuber who probably thought Ron Paul was going to choke and look crazy, like the CFR spammers on YouTube that he’s referring to. But Ron Paul knocked it out of the park, exposing the CFR and plans for the North American Union on national television. McCain makes faces in the background as if Dr. Paul’s just making it up.
